Designing new products without the need of making prototypes reduces the innovation time. The simulation of mechanical behavior of new pieces to stress and deformation, and the identification of critical areas of the element assess the design criteria to meet the technical requirements.
La solución
esHPC (CESGA) in collaboration with AIMEN Technology Centre designed a model of the piece to be analyzed and the conditions in which it would be installed were represented and a numerical simulation of its behavior was performed in relation to tensions and elasticity. The numerical simulation carried out allows the selection of the most suitable materials and designs for the construction of parts such as those usually manufactured by the firm. In addition, the results obtained convinced the company that it was necessary to redesign it. The software used was ASTK, Code-Aster, Efi cas, Salome-Meca.
